Business WiFi, Networks & IT Support for Hospitality Venues

Technology That Just Works For Hospitality Venues.

Reliable business WiFi, network resilience and IT support for restaurants, pubs, cafés, bars and venues across Edinburgh. When card machines drop offline or guest WiFi interferes with the till network, it affects the whole service.

We also install venue audio and CCTV where that's part of the job, but the network comes first, because everything else depends on it.

Sound familiar?

Most Venues Grow Over Time

A router gets added in a cupboard. A speaker gets installed near the bar. Someone plugs in another access point. Before long, nobody really knows how it all works. The result?

💳

Card machines disconnecting

It always seems to happen during a busy Friday night service. The till loses connection, the queue builds up, and you're left apologising to customers.

📶

Slow guest WiFi

Customers asking for the password, then coming back to say it won't connect. Or it connects but does nothing. Embarrassing, and completely fixable.

📋

Booking systems dropping out

Online bookings, table management, kitchen displays. Everything runs over WiFi now. When it drops, your whole operation feels it.

🔊

Poor music coverage

Too loud by the bar, barely audible in the dining room. The atmosphere suffers without customers quite knowing why.

🍽️

Staff constantly adjusting volume

Systems that are too complicated to use during a busy shift. Volume controls nobody can find. Technology that was never designed around the people using it.

📹

CCTV nobody can access

Cameras that were installed years ago, passwords nobody knows, footage you can't retrieve when you actually need it. That's not security.

🌐

No backup if broadband fails

One connection, one cabinet, one point of failure. When the main broadband goes down, so does everything that depends on it, including the till.

We help fix that.

What We Do

Hospitality Technology Done Properly

From guest WiFi and business networks to venue audio, CCTV and ongoing support. We take care of the technology so you can focus on running your venue.

Business WiFi & Networks

Your network runs the business, not just the guest WiFi

Access points, managed switches and VLANs so staff devices, EPOS/till systems and guest WiFi are properly separated. No dead spots in the dining room, terrace or basement.

  • Guest WiFi kept separate from tills and staff devices
  • Outdoor and multi-floor coverage, cabling and network cabinets
  • Remote network management that handles busy Friday nights

Internet Resilience

Keep card payments online if the main connection fails

Your main broadband or fibre connection is still a single point of failure unless there's a backup. A 4G, 5G or Starlink connection can be configured to take over where appropriate.

  • 4G/5G or Starlink backup where suitable for the venue
  • Automatic or managed failover, depending on the setup
  • Remote visibility so problems are spotted, not discovered mid-service

Managed IT & Microsoft 365

One point of contact for the network and everything behind it

Back-office computers, Microsoft 365, rota and supplier admin, day-to-day IT problems and updates, supported alongside the network, not as a separate headache.

  • Single point of contact who already knows your venue
  • No call centres, no ticket queues, no being passed around

Also Available

Venue Audio Systems

Even sound throughout the venue with independent volume zones for bar, dining and outdoor areas, controlled from a phone or tablet.

CCTV & Security Systems

Modern CCTV with remote viewing from your phone, clear image quality and reliable incident playback. Not a system nobody knows the password to.

Why Hospitality Businesses Choose Curly IT

Not a faceless company. Not a call centre. Just Rob, who'll actually show up, sort it, and be reachable afterwards.

We Understand Hospitality

A WiFi issue at 3pm is annoying. A WiFi issue at 7pm on a Saturday night costs money. We understand the difference and we treat it accordingly.

No Technical Jargon

We'll explain everything clearly and make sure your team knows how to use it. No confusing technical talk, no feeling like you should know more than you do.

Designed Around Your Venue

Every building is different, especially in Edinburgh. Stone walls, basements, terraces and listed buildings all create unique challenges. We design systems around the space rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all solution.

Ongoing Support Available

When you need help, you'll speak to somebody who already knows your setup. Not a call centre agent reading from a script who's never seen your venue.

Hospitality WiFi & IT FAQs

Can you keep our card machines and EPOS on a separate network from guest WiFi?
Yes. Staff, till/EPOS and guest WiFi can be separated using VLANs so a busy guest network doesn't affect the systems taking payments.
Do you offer backup internet if our main broadband fails?
Yes, where appropriate. Depending on the venue, a 4G, 5G or Starlink connection can be configured to take over automatically or manually if the main broadband connection goes down.
Can you cover a venue with thick walls, a basement or an outdoor terrace?
Yes. Edinburgh venues often have stone walls, basements and awkward layouts. Properly positioned access points, rather than consumer extenders, are used to cover the whole venue including outdoor areas.
Do you support our till/EPOS provider directly?
I don't supply EPOS software itself, but I make sure the network your EPOS and card terminals depend on is reliable, prioritised and properly separated from guest WiFi.
Can you support our office computers and Microsoft 365 as well as the network?
Yes. Alongside WiFi and networking, I can support back-office computers, Microsoft 365, day-to-day IT problems and updates as part of ongoing managed IT.
Do you install CCTV or venue audio?
Yes, both are services I offer alongside networking for hospitality venues, though the network is usually the priority since audio, CCTV and EPOS all depend on it working properly.
